Every new Gateway Notebook is protected by a limited standard warranty 1-year pick-up and return service and parts service and additional 2-years spare parts warranty from date of purchase. This value-priced WarrantyPlus offering extends our service for Gateway notebooks up to 3, 4, or 5 years.

WarrantyPlus Notebook Limited Warranty Extensions

General condition N-year limited warranty extension from notebook purchase date at our repair centres.
Coverage of the service WarrantyPlus service is valid within the entire European Community plus Switzerland and Norway. This extension is not applicable in Eastern European countries.
Advantages
  • Delivery fees are at Gateway's expense and you will be given a reserved priority within our laboratories as a WarrantyPlus customer.
  • Priority repair service.
  • Right to participate in special offers and promotions at authorized dealers.
Formality of purchase WarrantyPlus must be purchased and activated within 365 days from the notebook purchase date. The purchase date must be documented by an invoice or sales receipt with a copy sent to Gateway.
Formality of activation Each WarrantyPlus plan contains a contract number and a secret activation code for online registration.
Parts covered by the service WarrantyPlus covers all notebook part defects that prevent product use. If applicable, for screen damages, a fee of 100 Euro + local taxes & charges will be applied.
Parts not covered by the service Damages due to negligence or careless use, incorrect maintenance, maintenance by unauthorized personnel, transport in unsuitable packaging, any cause not attributable to manufacturer's defects, and small damages (such as scratches and scores) derived from routine product use are excluded from service coverage. The battery is excluded from the warranty extension service and maintains the original warranty conditions (180 days). The limited warranty does not cover malfunctions due to viruses or system conflicts due to the installation of drivers or peripherals, or data loss for any reason.
In case of breakdown Once the extended limited warranty has been activated, in case of breakdown customers who have registered their notebook should follow the normal warranty process, as our system will detect it automatically.

Desktop Limited Warranty


Every new Gateway Desktop is protected by a limited standard warranty 1-year on-site labour and parts service and additional 2-years spare parts warranty from date of purchase. Increase equipment availability and productivity with high-quality on-site and remote support by extending the limited warranties on your Gateway desktops or desktops + LCD displays (when purchased together) for up to 3, 4, or 5 years.

Server Limited Warranty


Gateway Servers are protected by a standard limited warranty from date of purchase as follows:

  • GT1xx series servers include 1-year on-site labour and parts service and additional 2 years spare parts replacement;
  • Other Gateway servers include 3-years on-site labour and parts service.

The installed options follow the server warranty (providing the registration associating the option S/N to the server S/N).

Coverage of the service WarrantyPlus service is valid within the following countries: Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and United Kingdom. For other countries, please contact your authorized dealer or the Gateway call-centre. For 4 hours intervention, please verify the geographic coverage with the call-centre.

Every Gateway monitor comes standard with a 1-year onsite replacement service and 3-years carry-in service. Replace failed monitors quickly and conveniently onsite with WarrantyPlus exchange service by extending your customers' limited warranty to 3, 4, or 5 years.

WarrantyPlus Monitor Limited Warranty Extensions

General condition Limited warranty extension to n years onsite with monitor replacement (replacement monitor could be new or refurbished, same or better performance).
Coverage of the service WarrantyPlus service is valid within the entire European Community plus Switzerland and Norway.

  • Onsite service with temporary replacement of the defective device with another LCD monitor (replacement with the exact same model is not guaranteed) that will be left with the customer until the defective device is repaired and delivered.

In case of breakdown Once the extended limited warranty is activated, in case of breakdown customers who have registered their LCD monitor should follow the normal warranty process, as our system will detect it automatically. All onsite repairs will be made Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
